I just finished this week’s section and my god is it spicy! And yet. And yet the emotions feel more intimate! It’s the perfect blend of raw feeling and raw…other things.

The descriptions of Liesl’s past heartbreaks/shame that broke her down into what she’s become are just. Heartbreaking. That I have to look away!
I love the description of Liesl’s diamond gown, it sounds beautiful. (I don’t usually annotate books but I am this time and next to that paragraph I just wrote ! ) she’s lovely and you know it, Goblin King.
The goblin atelier, there’s something I’ve wondered. In Shadowsong, Constanze references a girl with the name of one of the past brides that are named here, (I didn’t want to read it before I finished re reading Wintersong and I can’t remember!) I think it was Bettina or Magdalena. Did she know a bride/is it related or just coincidental/just calls Liesl Bettina on occasion? (I know, sorry, not the best take away from the 🥴 chapters! 😅)
