Lexical Gap No. 8: Sehnsucht

The image says it all, really. Right now, I am in the middle of drafting book 2, which is due back to my editor in October. I am nowhere near where I need to be in terms of story and word count to get it done by the deadline. Part of that is my fault; it took me a while to get started on this because I didn't know what the emotional journey for my protagonist was until fairly late, and I can't start writing until that has crystalized for me. The other part is also somewhat my fault in that I am overcommitted to a bazillion different other projects, including the PubCrawl and Earth Kingdom Radio podcasts, but also because I work a full-time job.
Between blogging for two different websites, recording and editing two different podcasts, doing promo work for Wintersong (stay tuned for some announcements about swag!), and drafting book 2, I have been busy, busy, busy. I look forward to having a life again in the fall, but until then it's going be a long, hard stretch of iced coffee, Twizzl…
